My unique car is the Chevrolet Monza, but i'm looking for a popular car, more economic, and I'll let the Monza only for weekends.

I live on south of Brasil, here normally is more cold than the rest of country. In the winter arrives 0 degrees centigrade sometimes. It isn't very cool :P

Here we pay a lots of taxes... the tax burden of Brasil is among the highest in the world. :(

For use in cars, here we have gasoline (petrol), alcool (ethanol) and gas. To buses and trucks there is some biodiesel.

Common gasoline costs about R$ 2,59
Alcool R$ 1,50
Gas R$ 1,10

1 US$ = R$ 1,70

Obs.: Happy Birthday to you! :smt113 :smt113 :D

Thank you for the birthday greetings. :D

Your gasoline prices are very cheap.
Unfortunately or gasoline has approx 70% tax and duty and is very expensive.

I think our countries both have a high tax burden.

In Brazilian money the gasoline price in UK is about R$17 per gallon or R$3.60 per litre.

Markuk, our gasoline is not cheap.

Here in my city (Goiânia), the value is of R$ 2,55 (US$ 1,50) for liter. But it has led in consideration that our gasoline has addition of 25% of alcohol anidro. In the truth, for each liter of "mixture", they enter in our tank 750ml of gasoline. There the UK, I believe, does not have alcohol addition.

I now understand.

Now I know that you meant the price per litre.

There is 10/15% bio fuel added to uk fuel but it is gasoline made from plants. :?

Done gasoline of plants? How? It has the same properties of the gasoline derived from the oil? :smt017 :smt030

The Brazilian alcohol is derived from the sugar cane-of-sugar. It is a combustible bio, but with well different properties of the gasoline.

Hello again.
I am no expert on fuel at all but I think the bio fuel in UK is derived from grain not sugar.
The USA uses a similar system. How the octane is retained I dont know.
If I knew how it is done I would be more specific. What I do know is that grain prices are at a record high partly because fuel production from grain has increased demand.

Ethanol (Alcool) is a great price combustible, and ethanol motors are more powerful than equal in petrol and cheapier (Ethanol Cars Pays Less Taxes)...
He're the Tax of combustibles is +/- 60%!
In Venezuela, another country of South America, the petrol costs only 2cents of pound/liter!!! It's amazing, is a country with petrol cheaper than water!

If one day I live in Venezuela I want a V12 or something better...
